At Touchstone Community School we consider the development of the body to be as important as the development of the mind. In this age of childhood obesity we are determined to ensure that not only do out students receive a nutritious meals, but also ample opportunity for physical exercise. Classes are scheduled such that students can participate in three 1 hour sessions of physical exercise each week.
Our gym teachers and team sports coaches’ work together to ensure the activities vary, giving students an opportunity to try out various sporting activities and decide if they would like to join youth teams. Youth sports team training is undertaken during after school hours. We currently have students sign up for soccer, field hockey, basketball and gymnastics.
